NBI Clearance is a government document issued by the National Bureau of Investigation upon the request of the individual certifying that the said individual at the time of request is not involved in any ongoing criminal cases in the Philippines. NBI Clearance also reflects if a person has criminal records in the Philippines. NBI Clearance covers the entire Philippines, and is valid for one year upon its request, and should be used within that time

STEPS TO APPLY AN NBI CLEARANCE
1. Go to the NBI Clearance Services website.
2. Once you are in :
- choose your preferred language and
- agree to the data privacy disclaimer.
- Register for an account. Fill up all the necessary fields then Check your email address or Mobile Phone for OTP send to you. Input the OTP received to confirm your application then your registration is complete.
3. Log in to your created account
- Fill up the application form. Click “Save Information,”
- Then “Apply for Clearance.”
- Select the type of valid ID you will submit during the appointment then Click “I Agree.”
- Choose the Branch you’ll submit your application form and show up to
- Choose your preferred appointment date and time.
- Select a payment method, and follow the instructions on it. Take note of your the reference number as this is needed when you pay and enter NBI Clearance Center.
- Double check everything you have filled up.
- Pay for your NBI Clearance. Click Transactions Page to check the status of your application whether its “Paid” or “Pending.”
4. Await your appointment date.
- On your Appointment Schedule.
- Show up at your selected NBI Branch on your appointment schedule bringing all the requirements with you.
- Your photo and biometrics will be taken to complete the application .
- Wait for the release of your NBI clearance
STEPS IN RENEWAL PROCESS
Renewing the NBI Clearance is much simpler than the first application. There is a NBI Clearance Quick Renewal Service that would delivered the renewed clearance to you desired address.
Here are the steps you need to follow:
1. Go to the NBI Clearance Services website.
2. Once you are in :
- Choose your preferred language and
- Agree to the data privacy disclaimer.
- Log in to your created account
- On the home screen, tap the “Click Here” button under the NBI Clearance Renewal header.
- Enter your old NBI ID number.
- Click “Verify,” then fill out the NBI Clearance delivery form
- Choose a payment method and take note of the reference number
- Pay ₱330 for your NBI Clearance Quick Renewal and ₱25 for the service fee.
- Wait for your renewed NBI Clearance to be delivered in your preferred address. Delivery time for Metro Manila is within three to seven days for Metro Manila and Luzon residents . Seven to Ten Visayas and Mindanao residents.
