1. Customize your resume accordingly
Check the position you are applying and the qualification being search by an employer. Once you have the two, start composing your resume according to it, highlighting your qualifications and expertise that match the specific job requirements. Only qualifications and skill relevant to the job requirement should be included.
2. Be honest

Contact information is vital in communication between you and your prospect employer. Email address, phone numbers and address should be updated. Be sure to include this in your resume for fast negotiation.
4. Highlight your accomplishment & achievements. For past experiences please mention your accomplishment and achievements that have direct impact on your previous company. How your projects contributes to reaching your quotas.
5. Consider volunteer work experience.
Including your volunteer work experience will bolster your resume and show off that you have some other skills. But be sure this work experience is related to the qualification that the employer is looking for.
6. List your social media profiles
In your social media profile be sure that information stated there is true and correct. Make sure your skills and qualification can also be found in your social media profile. Hiring managers nowadays will peep in social media accounts and if they found out the qualities they are looking for is listed in your media account then you have the chance to be given and interview slot.
7. Do keep it to one page.
Limit your resume to just one page only but it should be complete with the vital information which has connection to the qualification the prospect employer is seeking

DON’Ts
1. Don’t use more than 2 fonts.
Just stick to using one kind of font in your resume. By using one kind of font on your resume their will be a uniformity of the document as a whole.
2. Don’t get too personal.
Personal information, such as Social Security number, passport number, Philhealth number , marital religious affiliation, need not be be a part in your resume. Don’t expose too much of yourself in your resume. That information is not part of the job hunting. Wait until your hired and required to submit the Pre-employment documents wherein the said information is now a vital part
3. Don’t use an inappropriate email address.
Always use a professional email address in your resume. Better to use your personal email address and phone number rather than your professional contact details in your present employer.
4. Don’t include your high school education if you’re a college graduate.
No need to mentions your high school education details if you are a college graduate. Always mention your highest educational attainment. Remember to keep your resume short so stick to mentioning your highest educational attainment.
5. Dont’t state reasons for leaving each job. Dont mention in your resume the reasons for you leaving your jobs. But there will be is an instance that interviewers will ask you regarding it so it will be then that you share the reasons why you quit your jobs.
6. Don’t list past salary Information– Previous salary information should be kept confidential so don’t include it in your resume. Wait until later interviews to discuss about salary
