Pre-Employment Requirements is a set of documents that are required to be submitted to your new employer before you can officially start working. You need to comply these requirements as you will not be considered hired if you did not process this.

- Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Birth Certificate
A Birth Certificate is an official record that documents the birth of a person.
Once the child is born all the details regarding to the birth is being recorded officially and stored in LCR. Birth Certificate is an official document that gives details on the time, date and place of person’s birth, the name of the child, the father’s and the mother’s name and sex of the child born.
Birth Certificate confirms one’s identity, nationality and ancestry.
2. Transcript of Records / Diploma
Transcript of Record is an academic document that certifies that a person has acquired a specific education or has passed a test or series of tests. This documents contains the course taken, the units earned, and the duration when it earned. This document is signed the highest school official and sealed.
Importance of this document is the confirmation of your attained level of education you mentioned in your resume.
Contact your college or university where you graduated to get your diploma and transcript of records.
3. Police Clearance
Police clearance is an official document that proves that there’s no record or complaints against you filed in the police department. This document proves that you are law abiding citizen. Police clearance has a validity of 6 month only. Once it expires you need to secure a new one for six months validity
4. NBI Clearance
NBI Clearance is a government document issued by the National Bureau of Investigation upon the request of the individual certifying that the said individual at the time of request is not involved in any ongoing criminal cases in the Philippines. NBI Clearance also reflects if a person has criminal records in the Philippines. NBI Clearance covers the entire Philippines, and is valid for one year upon its request, and should be used within that time
This is required by the employer to ascertain that you are a law abiding citizen.
5 . Social Security System (SSS) Form E-1
An insurance program mandated and governed by the Philippine government for protection to all workers and income earners in the country. It is required by the government that all employees should be a member of the SSS and the employer should implement the collection of the monthly contribution of the employee and remit it to the SSS with a matching share of Employer. The law mandates employers to pay 70% of the contribution, while employees pay the remaining 30%.
As a member of the fund you will be granted assorted benefits to enjoy as long as you have paid your monthly contribution. Such benefits are sickness, maternity, disability, unemployment, retirement, death and funeral and loan.

6. PhilHealth Membership
Philhealth a national health Insurance Program established in 1995 with the aim to help Filipinos in their medical bills. It is mandated by the government and works like and insurance company that will take charge part of you medical bill. It is mandated by the government that all employees should be a member of Philhealth. Non employed person is also welcome to be a member, tagged as voluntary member.
Once a member you can avail certain benefits as long as you have paid your monthly contribution.
7. Pag-IBIG Membership
The Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF), commonly known as the Pag-IBIG Fund,[a] is a government-owned and controlled corporation responsible for the administration of the national savings program and affordable shelter financing for Filipinos. Membership of the fund is mandatory to all employee, whether permanent, temporary, or provisional who is not over sixty years old;
As a member to this fund you need to contribute monthly. The law mandates employers to pay 50% of the contribution, while employees pay the remaining 50%.
As a member of the fund you will be granted benefits to enjoy as long as you have paid your monthly contribution. Such benefits are Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL) and housing loan.
8. Tax Identification Number (TIN). BIR Tax Forms
A Tax Identification Number also known as TIN for short is a numeric code assign by the Bureau of Internal Revenue to each tax-paying individual. It is composed–12 digits wherein the first nine digits as the TIN proper and the last three digits represent the branch code. A Tax Identification Number is an identifying number used for for identification, tax tracking, and record-keeping purposes.
9. Physical or Medical Exam
Once you are hired on of the pre-employment requirement is the Physical or Medical Exam. The employer usually required this document for them to determine your physical capacity to do your job description and this will be guide of the employer to know if you have some underlining health issues.
